A culture of silence around mental health is costly to employers and to staff. Mind research has found that 56% of employers would like to do more to improve staff wellbeing but don’t feel they have the right training or guidance.

This course provides managers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to better support the mental health of their staff and themselves in the workplace.

 

Who the course is for

This course is for line managers seeking the skills and confidence to have meaningful conversations with staff about wellbeing and the knowledge to reduce the impact of work related stress.

You will learn how to identify signs of stress in the workplace and be equipped with strategies to support your staff. You will gain an understanding of how to utilise tools such as wellbeing plans and personal action plans which will create a culture of positive mental health for you and your staff.

We also deliver a course for managers to manage mental health in a hybrid workplace.

With 9 out of 10 women in the UK workforce reporting adverse effects on their work and a portion deciding to leave their jobs completely, this training helps employers and their staff by learning how to support a person’s wellbeing and their work life.

This is a two-day Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course. Become a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider®) with CPSL Mind and gain the confidence to support others.

MHFA provides attendees with the skills to:

1. Recognise the signs of poor mental health

2. Have the confidence to start a conversation

3. Create an action plan

4. Know where to signpost for further support
