After a drought in paddling for 30 years, local hero Peter Emeleus is dusting off his paddle to raise funds for Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind.
The JM Cambridge Fundraising team undertook a week of activities from 22nd-26th June with games and raffles to encourage donations.
CPSL Mind was thrilled when Melbourn FC chose them as their charity for the year. Even with the recent challenges of social distancing they managed to raise a staggering £1,829.74 for their local mental health charity.
On 11th July 2020, Stephen Friend ran around his local cricket field to a distance of 7.1km, which was 3km further than his intended distance, raising over £260 for us. He literally went the extra mile!
On 2nd June 2020, Adam cooked up a storm for his neighbourhood with ‘Lemon and Poppy Drizzle Cake’ and ‘Hazelnut Buttercream Chocolate Cake’ on the menu.
On possibly the hottest weekend of the year so far, 43 runners and one Tyrannosaurus Rex took part in the Fenland Running Club Social Distancing Relay, observing a 2m boundary at all times.
Orchard Road in Histon held a fantastic street party for Mental Health Awareness Week and raised an impressive £265.
CPSL Mind was delighted when Emma Tytherleigh decided to fundraise for the charity as part of the national 2.6 challenge.
The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26th April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.
We were over the moon when the University of Cambridge gifted us 50 running places as part of their partnership with the Saucony Cambridge half marathon.
