CPSL Mind appoints new Chair of Trustees

The local mental health charity, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire (CPSL) Mind has announced the appointment of Andréa Grosbois as the charity’s new Chair of Trustees.

The announcement comes on Trustees’ Week (4-8 November), which is a time for people to come together to celebrate the achievements of nearly one million trustees across the UK. Throughout the week, Andréa and CPSL Mind staff thanked its Board of Trustees for their time, commitment and dedication to the charity.

Andréa has supported the organisation as interim Chair since December 2023, having served as a Trustee for the past seven years and Vice-Chair for last three years. She previously took on the role of Interim Chair in 2020 and lead the organisation through the early stages of the Covid pandemic period.

Andréa brings over 14 years’ experience working in communications, strategic engagement and partnership building roles , predominantly for the NHS and is a keen advocate for greater mental health awareness and understanding.

On a personal level, she has been a carer for family members with mental health challenges, which drives her passion for helping to realise CPSL Mind’s vision of a society in which everyone has positive mental health and feels part of a connected community.

Commenting on her appointment as the new Chair of CPSL Mind, Andréa Grosbois said, “I am delighted to have been appointed as the Chair of CPSL Mind and I am excited to continue working alongside our dedicated team of Trustees to support the organisation. Every day, I am inspired by our amazing staff who work tirelessly to improve the mental health of thousands of local people. As we develop our future plans, I remain committed to championing the voice of lived experience, ensuring it guides everything we do.”

1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health challenge in any given year and CPSL Mind directly supported more than 6,000 local residents throughout 2023/24.

CPSL Mind’s Board of Trustees work closely with the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team to ensure clear strategic direction, best practice and legal compliance in all areas of governance and activities.

The Board provide the assurance of a healthy, ambitious and strong charity that provides the highest quality support to people experiencing or at risk of developing mental health problems.
