Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and South Lincolnshire Mind (CPSL Mind) is moving from The Limes in St Neots in August 2020, following 17 happy years in the building. This is partly due to the building’s lease coming to an end and partly as a result of changing space requirements in the light of Covid-19.
CPSL Mind has grown significantly over the past decade and provides a wide range of mental health and wellbeing services across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Although we will no longer have an office base in St Neots, we will still continue to provide locally accessible services to the town, such as our Good Mood cafes and Open Door calm spaces and counselling service.
Demand for our services has remained high during Covid-19 and we have continued to find ways of meeting the needs of local people during this time – using on-line technology and telephone as well as a limited, socially distanced 1 to 1 support as necessary.
This has involved using more flexible working arrangements for staff, including considerably more home working for those who were previously office based. This, in turn, has enabled us to reduce our expenditure on office space, which will mean make more of our funds available for front line service delivery.
“It’s with mixed feelings that we leave The Limes, but we know that this will enable us to focus our resources much more effectively,” says Chief Executive Aly Anderson. ‘We have had huge support from the people of St Neots over the years and are determined to ensure that our services remain readily available in the town.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has meant we have had to change the way we deliver all our services in the short to medium term – but we are now looking at ways of safely getting back to some of our face-to-face activities, especially for our Good Life Service, which will still include activities based in St Neots.”
St Neots residents seeking support are invited to contact us by telephone on 0300 303 4363 or email enquiries@cpslmind.org.uk.
