The WorkWell Programme

We are delivering a free programme that helps people who may be struggling to find or keep a job due to a health problem. This new programme is called WorkWell and it is now open for referrals.

The WorkWell pilot programme matches local people with a work and health coach who can establish what they need help with, overcome barriers and help them find the right local support. The work and health coaches will provide personalised support, and can connect people with different services, such as health professionals, community sector services and local support groups.

How we help

WorkWell is available to anyone living in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and will run until 31 March 2026. It is supported by NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) with funding from the Department of Work and Pensions and is delivered in partnership with local organisations.

CPSL Mind will be delivering the WorkWell programme in three areas including: Cambridge City, East Cambs, and South Cambs and Royston.

Lisa Gibson, Head of Services (Innovation and Business) at CPSL Mind said, “We are delighted that the WorkWell programme has now launched, helping local people to remain in, or return to work quickly. This pilot is a great example of the local system working together to help those at risk of falling out of employment or need support to return to work.

“CPSL Mind has a new team who will be dedicated to supporting people accessing the WorkWell programme and we look forward to welcoming people and being part of their back to work journey. At CPSL Mind, we understand how important it is to be able to stay in work. Employment gives people a sense of purpose, supports wellbeing by working collaboratively and meeting others, boosts confidence and self-esteem, and develops skills and knowledge. We are pleased to be able to work with partners to understand the barriers faced and to find ways to overcome them.”
